We shot this in 1988 at Pete’s house in Foster City. Pete was a good sport in allowing us to make a humorous video of a painful time in his life. Dianne shot this video and Steve did the voice over. This was done to make fun of the TV ad’s of similar lawyers during this era. Steve and I are also the movers carrying out the furniture as Pete watches his life get taken piece by piece. Bob Battezzato played the perfect slimy Divorce Lawyer and had his Magnum PI look going. I sped up the film during the extraction of the furniture to give this piece some added humor reminiscent of the old films with Charlie Chaplin. On the final scene I ad lib’d taking the pie tin with the remaining crumbs out of Pete’s hands showing him ending up with nothing which was typical when going through a divorce. This was a funny bit and got a great response when we showed it. – Rusty
